Not to be confused with paragender, it is a xenic/coric aesthetigender based around a subset of cryptidcore focusing more kitsch and bright alien, ufo, and paranormal themes, rather than muted/forest themes. It can be a stand alone identity or used as a modifier. This gender is retro in nature and is tied to symbols like flying saucers, green aliens, the polybus, the Flatwoods monster, lava lamps, glow-in-the-dark, etc. It describes a gender identity that feels liminal, tacky, otherworldly, and outside of the realm of normalcy. This gender puts the identity through the lense of the classic paranormal aesthetic. The identity can be difficult to explain for some, or mysterious. This gender can be related to a person’s neurodivergence, special interest, or hyperfixation.Users of this identity may use neopronouns such as ze/hir, xe/xem, it/its, ae/aer, or other peculiar and “alien” pronouns to represent their gender. They may also use paranormal themed nounself pronouns such as ali/alis/alienself to define their gender.
